Yes its back for 2012 - Maui Dolphin Day and the Recycled Raft Race

Saturday March 10th 2012 at the Kopua Domain

A fun family day aimed to raise awareness about the Maui Dolphin and its marine environment

What is the recycled raft race ?  - It's a wild, wet, fun event, where people build rafts out of recycled materials and race up the harbour in what has become a highly competitive annual Raglan event. However, its not just about being the fastest raft, there are prizes for best dressed, best new raft, most creative, best message, best junior and even prizes just for entering. The main thing is to have lots of fun. We do encourage racers to get dressed up too (but no shoes or heavy clothes ie jeans)

So with the school holidays approaching now is the time to start building your rafts out of recycled materials - remember all rafts must float and no bits can fall off in the harbour.

For more information and to find out  how to register, go to our news and events page on our website www.xtremewaste.org.nz or call Lindsey on 0277 151516.

If you would like to volunteer to help out on the day please let us know too.
